PURPOSE OVER DISTRACTION

Image
Yesterday, I read a powerful story that moved and inspired me. The only bird that dares to attack an eagle is a crow . I don't know how true the story is, but you need to learn something from it. The crow is the only bird bold enough to sit on eagle's neck and peck each neck relentlessly . But do you know that the eagle never reacts? It doesn't fight back. It doesn't flap. It doesn't waste its energy. It just does one thing. It rises. The higher the eagle soars, the thinner the air becomes for the crow . And when it gets to a point that it can't handle the altitude anymore, the crow loses its strength and falls off. It did not fall off because the eagle attacked physically. It fell off because the eagle ascended. If you must grow, you must learn not to react to every attack. Every opposition, obstacle, or distraction . Every step you take in life comes with an unimaginable obstacle or difficulty, which requires a certain reaction. And your reaction ...

BOUNCE The myth of talent and the power of practice, by Matthew Syed

Image
The book reviewed notable sports men/women achievements and the impacts of training, hard work and focus over every other factor .  The true value of the book is found in its dissection of the dangers of the ‘ talent myth ” rather it re-emphasizes the age long message; success is possible for all of us, but it comes with hard work and self belief rather  than innate ability . The book is divided into three parts namely: v   The talent myth , v   Paradoxes of the mind v   Deep reflections . The talent myth : The author Matthew Syed, used his achievements in table tennis sport to illustrate how success can be achieved through hard works, staying around people of like minds and with a conducive environment. Matthew lived on a street – Silverdale that produced more outstanding table tennis players than the rest of Great Britain. Silverdale road was the well-spring of English table tennis: a ping-pong Mecca that seemed to defy explanations or belief. ...

SUCCESS AND SIGNIFICANCE

Image
Success is secular .  It is adding value to one’s self.  Success focuses on the three ‘Fs’ of achieving: my fans, my fame and my fortune.  It’s primarily knowing my purpose in life, growing to my full potentials and benefitting myself and probably my immediate family. Significance is more spiritual , and those things that are spiritual tend to be deeper, more impactful, meaningful, touching and more lasting in our lives. Significance focuses on the three “Fs” of appreciating:   1.     Faith 2.     Family , 3.     Friends Significance is, adding value to benefit others without any string attached.   Significance is having a purpose for work, that you can lose yourself, purpose that you can affect others, purpose that brings you joy and happiness .  once you learn something that is good, that works, an idea, you are ready to share with others.   It’s never...

STRENGTH OF PURPOSE

Image
Have you ever seen a hen sit on an egg for 21 days? I promise you , it is one of the most powerful pictures of purpose you will ever see. No noise, no movement, no applause, just heat, pressure, and faith. From the outside, nothing looks like it's changing . But inside that shell, destiny is forming. Organs, bones, identity, purpose. And here's the thing, if you crack an egg too early, you kill what it could have become . Because potential needs time, not proof. Potential needs pressure, not popularity. What's really crazy about this process is that the hen can't see what is going on inside the egg .   No ultrasound, no feedback, no sign of life. But she sits, day after day after day. Why? Because she knows that as long as she stays faithful to the assignment, the egg will hatch. Isn't that true about purpose? You don't always see progress, but something is forming deep inside the shell. From the outside, it looks like nothing is happening. Let me say...

Some moments don't need goals even in football but Humanity a story of Messi.

Image
GARETH BALE: “In football, there was a moment that changed my view of competition. While I was struggling with a chronic muscle injury that kept haunting me throughout my career, I received an unexpected message from Real Madrid’s fitness coach. He said, ‘Leo is asking about your condition and wants to help you.’ “What happened next? A personal call from Messi’s personal doctor, offering me a proven treatment protocol, sharing rehab exercises that Messi himself used in 2013. A recommendation for a specialized clinic in Barcelona that treats many players from the football world, where competition is fierce. This situation taught me that true professionalism transcends teams and colors, and greatness is measured by what you offer to others—even your opponents. Messi is a human being before he is a legend. At a time when many see the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona as a war, Messi reminded us that football is a beautiful game! So...

How Context Multiplies Your Value The Secret to Explosive Growth

Image
This law explains how you can get paid multiple more for the skills you already have, and how all the value comes from the context , not the skill itself. Four ending lessons about the value of any skill sets: 1.        Our skills hold no intrinsic value – our skills are worth nothing ; value is what someone is willing to pay. 2.       The Value of any skill is determined by the context in which it is required . Every skill holds a different value in a different sector. 3.       The perception of a skill’s rarity influences how much people value it . 4.       People will assess the worth of your skill based on how much value they believe it can generate for them. A common misconception is that people feel the only avenue for securing a pay increase is either via promotion in one’s current position or job place, or to seek a similar role within the same industr...
