THINKING FOR A CHANGE

THINKING FOR A CHANGE

Thinking for a change by JOHN C MAXWELL is a very inspiring book, to a large extent it has further expose my sense of reasoning in that most people who have negative beginning due to their thinking ability have become some of the most successful people today.

Unsuccessful people focus their thinking on survival, average people focus their thinking on maintenance and successful people focus their thinking on progress. Our thinking is a function of how we feel. If you change your feelings, you can change your actions, changing your action based on good thinking can change your life. We can control our thoughts and feelings come from thoughts. You control feelings by controlling thoughts.

Education is good yet it cannot deliver on its promises, for example some highly educated people still find it difficult to manage their lives effectively where a lot of dropout have become very successful people today; the likes of Bill Gate, Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, Federico Felini and Aliko Dangote.

John Maxwell in his opinion says that once you become a better thinker, the good ideas just keep coming. Thinking is hard work that’s why so few ever do it. Changed thinking is worth the investment. It’s investing in yourself and it is a gift you can give others.

The book also shows that knowledge alone is not power but its application in terms of positive value on achieving ones potential dreams. Changing your thinking changes your beliefs; change is personal, change is possible and change is profitable.

Finally, good thinkers solve problems, they never lack ideas that can build an organization and they always have hope for a better future.

This book is a must read for self-development and organizational growth.
